Our Life of Prayer
"The Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary are out dwelling place. The Objects of all our thoughts and Zeal for the love of God"
Foundress, Mother Teresa DeVincenti, POSC
"In all we do, we place all those we serve and care for, between the Heart Of Jesus and Mary"
Superior of Washington DC Convent, Sr. Licia Lupinacci, POSC

Our prayer life includes daily Mass and daily Eucharistic Adoration, praying the Liturgy of the Hours with meditation on the Holy Scriptures, especially the Gospel; praying the Rosary and the Way of the Cross; Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament; weekly Confession; monthly retreats; and religious and professional courses and workshops.
The Little Workers live their faith by participating in charitable works as determined by the needs of the people and places to which they are assigned. Some of our Sisters care for the sick and elderly by working as nurses and doctors in hospitals and in nursing homes. Other Sisters are dedicated to youth ministry, helping to meet the spiritual needs of young women and men through youth group activities, retreats, and individual spiritual direction. Many of our Sisters teach in Catholic schools at the early childhood, middle school, and high school levels, seeking to lead children and young people to God as we strive to prepare them academically.
